In 2001, in response to requests from a number of clients, ALCIMED launched a new activity: information systems applied to R&D activity, to meet a need for the organization and exploitation of R&D information in the fields of life sciences and chemicals. This new activity is founded on ALCIMED's knowledge of its clients' work process, with a dedicated team of engineers skilled in both IT and biology/chemistry. ALCIMED is wholly independent of any proprietary methodology or technological solution.
	ALCIMED is able to offer a wide range of assignments in the field of information systems, from the introduction of e-strategies to the follow-up of project completion by way of project audits and functional and technical system design. We can also develop intelligent databases for R&D and marketing, a concept which relies on skills not only in data extraction and storage techniques but also in technology watch and competitive intelligence.
